Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of therapy and has its roots in ancient Chinese philosophy. Modern acupuncturists not only use traditional meridian acupuncture points, but also non-meridian or extra-meridian acupuncture points such as trigger points. The evidence-based approach examines protocols evaluated in controlled trials, alongside Traditional Chinese Medicine Theory.

Acupuncture is provided at Rebound by our Chiropractor Dr Hamilton, and our Registered Acupuncturist Puja Naik

Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into specific influential points around the body, known in TCM as meridian points. Treatment provided by our chiropractor follows the medical acupuncture evidence-based approach, following protocols evaluated in controlled trials. Our chiropractor has a focus on treating conditions of the neuro-musculoskeletal system, to decrease pain and improve function and mobility.

Our registered acupuncturist practices TCM technique based on the theory that there are patterns of energy flow of qi (CHI) through the body and any disruption of the flow is the cause of pain and disease. By inserting and manipulating needles at the acupuncture points will balance and correct the flow, trigger the release of endorphins and serotonin which help to ease tension, inflammation, and allow relaxation in the body.

Our registered acupuncturist Puja Naik also offers Facial Rejuvenation (cosmetic) Acupuncture. Cosmetic acupuncture is an ancient technique used to improve skin, prevent and minimize the signs of aging. Facial acupuncture is a form of acupuncture that involves inserting fine needles into specific points on the face to improve promote blood circulation, stimulate collagen production, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, help relieve tension in the facial muscles.

What is Facial Rejuvenation (Cosmetic) Acupuncture?

Facial acupuncture is a holistic treatment that involves the strategic insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the face and body, aiming to promote overall wellness and enhance the natural beauty of the skin. By stimulating blood flow and collagen production, this technique not only helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles but also addresses underlying health issues, leaving patients with a refreshed and rejuvenated complexion. It blends traditional Chinese medicine principles with modern aesthetic practices, creating a unique approach to skincare that prioritizes both inner and outer harmony.
